Applications of Mud Agitators 

The function of the mud agitator in the mud mixing tank is to ensure that the mud in the mud tank is stirred evenly.

The core function of the mud agitator is to mix the mud so that the drilling cuttings and silt do not deposit on the bottom of the tank in the mud tank. It can pass through the purification system smoothly. The uniform stirring of the mud mixer will suspend the solid phase particles and prevent sedimentation. Harmful mud solids must be removed, so they must be suspended, and then use desanders, desilters, and centrifuge solid control equipment to complete the removal of harmful mud solids. The useful mud solid phase also requires a mud agitator to stir and suspend it evenly, so as to keep the density and other properties of the mud stable and complete. Therefore, it can be seen that the mud mixing effect of the non-excavation mud mixing tank depends on the uniform mixing and continuous and reliable mixing work of the mud agitator, so as to avoid the phenomenon of precipitation and sticking of solid phase substances to the wall.

When the depth of the mud tank is less than 12 meters, either straight turbine blades or curved turbine blades can be used. If it is a mud tank with a shallow depth, the impeller is installed at the lower part of the shaft, and the stirring work can also be fully performed. If the depth of the mud tank is very deep, the mud agitator can also be equipped with double impellers on one shaft during its stirring operation, so that the effect of uniform mixing can be achieved. As for the length design of the stirring rod of the mud mixer, it is necessary to determine the length design range according to the actual mud tank depth.
