A water well drilling rig is a lightweight, efficient, and multifunctional drilling rig that can drill water wells and complete operations such as lowering well pipes and washing wells. It has the characteristics of advanced structure, easy use, and short auxiliary time. It is widely used in drilling water wells, monitoring wells, and other exploration projects, especially for drilling ground source heat pump air conditioning holes in urban buildings. The water well drilling rig mainly includes power equipment and drill bits, drill rods, core tubes, drill racks, etc., and uses compressed air or mud pumps for downhole drilling. Water well drilling rigs can be divided into three categories according to the drilling rig method, namely rotary rotary rigs, impact drilling rigs, and composite rotary rigs.

In order to ensure the efficient operation of the drilling rig and improve construction efficiency, some necessary examinations should be carried out. 

1. Environmental check

This preparation work mainly checks whether there are obstacles that affect the movement of the drilling rig within the specified drilling rig operating range, such as large pits, large ore rocks, etc. If there are, remove them immediately. 

2. Electrical equipment

1) The carriage should carefully check whether the welding structure of the carriage is cracked, whether the support rod is damaged, and whether the bolts and wire ropes are stretched out or broken. Whether the upper and lower rod feeders are damaged, whether the bolts are loose, and whether the tensioning device is tightened.

2) Whether the screws of the rotary mechanism of the drilling operation part are loose, whether the lubrication is thorough, whether the gears are damaged, whether the front joint bolts and the bearing gland and the hollow main shaft are loose, whether the dust removal part is blocked, and whether the electromagnetic brake of the electric winch is effective.

3) Whether the belts, chains, and crawlers of the walking part are appropriately tight, whether the clutch is flexible, and whether the moving gears of the drilling rig lifting mechanism have been disengaged.

4) Before the electrical part starts working, all electrical components should be checked. If there are defects, they should be eliminated in time and the operating handle should be moved to the stop position. Short circuit and overload in the electrical system are realized by air switches and fuses. If short circuit or overload occurs, stop the machine immediately for inspection and handling.

3. Drilling tools

Before driving, carefully check whether the drill pipe joint is dislocated or cracked, whether the thread is slipped, whether the working parts are intact, whether the impactor housing is cracked or welded, and whether the alloy sheet (or block) on the drill bit is desoldered, broken, or pulled off. If problems are found, they should be dealt with in time. 

The high temperature of water well drilling rigs is generally divided into high temperature of gearbox, high temperature of hydraulic oil and high temperature of engine coolant. In fact, the reason for the high temperature of the gearbox is still very simple. The main reason is that the size and shape of the bearing or gear and housing do not meet the standard or the engine oil is unqualified. 

The hydraulic oil temperature is too high. According to hydraulic theory and maintenance experience in recent years, the main reason for the high temperature of hydraulic oil is fast heating and slow heat dissipation. The oil inlet pipeline of the hydraulic pump and hydraulic oil tank is not sealed, the oil inlet filter element is not blocked, and the hydraulic system pipeline is not unblocked. Internal leakage of the hydraulic pump will cause the hydraulic oil to generate a lot of heat, and the hydraulic oil temperature will rise rapidly due to overheating.

The internal channel of the hydraulic oil radiator is blocked, the dust outside the radiator is too large, the air volume is insufficient, and the hydraulic oil cannot pass through the hydraulic oil radiator, which may cause the hydraulic oil to dissipate heat slowly and heat up. 

Precautions when operating a water well drilling rig 

1. Drilling rig workers must receive special training and have certain work experience before they can take up their posts.

2. Drilling rig workers must master the operating essentials of drilling rigs and comprehensive maintenance knowledge, and have considerable experience in troubleshooting methods.

3. Before shipping the drilling rig, a full inspection must be carried out. All parts of the drilling rig must be complete, the cables must not have leakage, and the drill rods and drilling tools must not be damaged. 

4. The drilling rig must be loaded firmly, and the turning or ramp must be slow and fixed with steel wire. 

5. When entering the construction site, the drilling rig tower must be fixed, the drilling site area must be larger than the drilling rig seat, and there must be enough safe space around. 

6. When drilling, the hole position, orientation, angle, hole depth, etc. must be strictly followed, and the driller cannot make changes without authorization. 

7. When installing the drill rod, check the drilling rig to ensure that the drilling The rod is not blocked, bent, or worn. Unqualified drill rods are strictly prohibited from use. 

8. When loading and unloading the drill bit, prevent the pipe clamp from pinching the carbide sheet, and prevent the drill bit and the core tube from being pinched. 

9. When installing the drill rod, the second one must be installed after the first one. 

10. When using clean water drilling, water supply is not allowed before drilling. Drilling can only be carried out after the water returns, and sufficient flow must be ensured. Dry holes are not allowed. When there is a lot of rock powder in the hole, the water volume should be increased to extend the pump opening time. Drilling can only be stopped after the hole is flushed. 

11. The distance must be accurately measured during the drilling process. Generally, the drill rod must be measured once every 10 meters of drilling or when the drilling tool is changed to verify the hole depth. 

12. Whether the gearbox, sleeve, horizontal and vertical shaft gears are overheated or have abnormal sounds, if any problems are found, the machine should be stopped immediately, the cause should be found, and timely treatment should be carried out.
